Outreach

The vision of Steamtown Church is to reach ever man, woman, and child repeatedly with the gospel in the Greater Scranton Area.  In the area of outreach we plan on accomplishing that vision on three different levels in a variety of areas.  The first level is the Corporate level i.e. the Steamtown Church reaching out to the community with large events such as First Fridays, Festivals, and Faith in Action Initiatives through service projects. The second level is at the House Church level where the House Church Sheperds mobilize their members to reach out to their neighbors through servant evangelism and service projects such as lawn care, neighborhood car clinics, block parties/barbeque, backyard bible clubs, Scranton Rescue Mission, Ronald McDonald House, and etc.  The third level is the one on one level where we train people in the area of personal evangelism so they learn how to share their faith with people.  We give Steamtown Church members opportunities to share their faith through street witnessing, servant evangelism, and mission trips at the local, regional, and global level.  Outreach is not just a buzzword, but a reality lived out loud at Steamtown Church.  So come and join us in our dream and vision to reach every man, woman, and child repeatedly with the good news of Jesus Christ.
